Christian Lacroix Fashion Designer


French Fashion designer Christian Lacroix was born in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhône in southern France, on the 16th of May, 1951. Fashion designer Christian Lacroix liked to sketch the fashion and historical costumes at a very young age. In 1969, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix completed his graduation from the high school and then moved to Montpellier, for further study in Art History at the University of Montpellier. Later on, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix was enrolled at the Sorbonne in Paris, in 1971.

Fashion designer Christian Lacroix learned to develop a dissertation on the dress making in French18th-century painting. Afterwards, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix practiced the program in museum studies at the École du Louvre. In 1996, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix added a nice variety in the world of Fashion clothing by launching Jeans line. Due to the, dedication towards producing quality designs, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix has received the award of the "most influential designer" by the CFDA for foreign designer in January 1987. In 1987 Fashion designer Christian Lacroix established his own couture house, and then with the influence of the diverse cultures, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix commenced ready-to-wear in 1988. While working successfully on clothing line, in 1989,Fashion designer Christian Lacroix launched some other Fashion lines; consist of jewelry, shoes, handbags, ties, scarves and glasses. Fashion designer Christian Lacroix launched his Bazar line in 1994, which was inspired by his old customs and folks. Fashion designer Christian Lacroix his first line of floral perfumes, in 1999, and then in 2000, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix designed a line of innovative accessories which included semi-precious jewelry. In 2002, he added more fun in his Fashion line by launching children’s line. Fashion designer Christian Lacroix served as the Creative Director for the Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci from 2002-2005.

Through the production of standard & classic Fashion outfits and other accessories, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix launched more boutiques in different countries, like Paris, London, Arles, Toulouse, Aix-en-Provence, Geneva and Japan.

Fashion designer Christian Lacroix joined Avon cosmetics company in 2007, to introduce a fresh fragrance exclusive range to Avon called Christian Lacroix Rouge for women (plus body lotion and shower gel) and Christian Lacroix Noir for men (plus after shave lotion and shower gel). In the Spring of 2009, Fashion designer Christian Lacroix released Christian Lacroix Absynthe, and Christian Lacroix Absynthe For Him in the autumn of 2009; both the lines helped him in expanding his Avon Fashion line.
