Max Mara Fashion Designer


The Italian Fashion house Max Mara was established in 1951, by the Fashion designer Achille Maramotti, at the critical time of post war. Fashion designer Achille Maramotti was born on 7th of January 1927 and died on 12th of January 2005. The "Mara" came from the surname of Fashion designer Achille Maramotti and "Max" represents the quantity etc, Max. Fashion designer Achille Maramotti had started designing couture in 1947 but officially established the Fashion house Max Mara in 1951. Fashion designer Achille Maramotti initially started the Fashion house Max Mara with the men’s wear. Soon, Fashion designer Achille Maramotti under the label of Max Mara launched women’s wear. The design philosophy of Fashion designer Achille Maramotti was to produce standard work with the reasonable prices.There are also many fashion shows held by this and full contribution of Max Mara to many fashion weeks.

Fashion designer Achille Maramotti kept on going in designing elegant dresses for both men & women and after years, about half a century later, Fashion designer Achille Maramotti became a billion-dollar designer, especially as a classic wear designer with the deluxe materials on it. Even, at the time of his death in 2005, the year Forbes listed him as one of the world’s richest men. After the death of Fashion designer Achille Maramotti, his three children took the charge of the well-maintained Fashion house Max Mara. Afterward, Fashion house Max Mara launched 35 labels, but the Max Mera remained the chief line.

In 1990, Fashion house Max Mara opened another shop on Tokyo and then three flagship stores in 1993 in New York. After the successful feedback of those shops, Fashion house Max Mara launched first South American store, in Caracas, 1994. Later on, after working tremendously in the world of Fashion designing Fashion house Max Mara commenced cosmetics line, 1997 and then Sportmax lines in 1999. At the time of celebrating 50th annual collection in 2001, Fashion house Max Mara opened new SoHo flagship. Fashion house Max Mara also produced big names in the style and Fashion industry like Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and Narciso Rodriguez etc.

By March 2008, Fashion house Max Mara had 2,254 stores in 90 countries. Presently, Fashion house Max Mara is successfully its producing its Fashion line in Via Fratelli Cervi 66, 42100 Reggio Emilia, Italy.Many supermodels have showcased the collection of Max Mara like Natalia Vodianova performed ready to wear of Autumn/Winter 2001 and for Spring/Summer 2001 and Jessica Stam for ready to wear show Autumn/Winter 2005,Lara Stone for Autumn/Winter 2008.
