Kilian Kerner Fashion Designer

Fashion designer Kilian Kerner (1979) was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. Between the years of 2000 and 2003, he studied drama in his home city and in Berlin. Then in 2004, his infatuation with fashion developed into a full-blown career when he launched the label KILIAN KERNER.

In creating his first collection „Überhaupt und Du“he relied heavily upon his intuition. The fledgling label fared well, successfully establishing itself, especially on the international market, within its first three years. Today Kilian Kerner sells his designs across the globe, in Asia, Great Britain,France and the United States. The label KILIAN KERNER has also showed in cities such as New York, Las Vegas, Paris, London, Florence and Berlin.

This summer, the „fashion and music“ concept is in its fifth season. Fittingly, the band Mor/La/Peach has produced an original song especially for Kilian Kerner’s SS 2010 collection “Tagebucheinträge” („Diary Entries“).

In addition to his own label, Kilian Kerner has also entered into choice collaborations. During the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in July 2009, he and Berlin designer Anja Bruhn will debut their bags and belts label Kerner&Bruhn.

Kilian Kerner is also one of four creators who joined together at the start of 2009 for an exciting project: Actor Matthias Schweighöfer, MTV moderator Joko Winterscheidt, Sebastian Radlmeier of Paso Music and Kilian Kerner are the masterminds behind the T-shirt label „German Garment.“ Their concept is to sell women’s and men’s shirts produced from start to finish in Germany, with even the fabrics specially woven in the country. „German Garment“ will present its first collection in the summer of 2009.He did many fashion shows and fashion weeks for the enhancement of collection.

Kilian Kerner also took over creative direction for the men’s line of British label Komodo during the winter season AW 09/10. Due to its success, this collaboration will be extended into an AW 10/11 collection for the international market under the label “Kilian Kerner 4 Komodo.”
