Burberry Fashion Designers


Burberry Fashion House is one of the oldest British Fashion houses, and established in 1856, by Thomas Burberry. The headquarters of the Burberry Fashion House are in London and in United Kingdom. Burberry Fashion House has branded stores and franchises all over the world. Christopher Bailey is the creative director of the Burberry Fashion House.

Luxury Burberry Fashion House produces elegantly designed clothing line, fragrances, handbags, and different other fashion accessories. Burberry Fashion House invented gabardine in 1880, which was a hardwearing and water-resistant fabric. Burberry Fashion House launched a shop in the Haymarket, London, in 1831. The London store is still working successfully; Burberry Fashion House has some corporate headquarters too. In 1901, the Burberry Fashion House developed a logo containing the Latin word "Prorsum", which means forwards. Then the logo of Burberry Fashion House was registered as a trademark.

In 1914, Burberry Fashion House was made to order by the War Office to customize its officer's coat to suit the circumstances of modern warfare; Burberry Fashion House then produced the "trench coat", which gained immense popularity even after the war. Then in 1920’s the iconic Burberry check was launched. Burberry Fashion House also designed special aviation garments. A. E. Clouston, in 1937. Burberry Fashion House remained independent till 1955 but later on, Great Universal Stores (GUS) took its charge. In July 2002, Burberry Fashion House Group plc was initially moved towards the London Stock Exchange. In 2006, Rose Marie Bravo, who was the Chief Executive was replaced by the current CEO Angela Ahrendts.

In October 2006, Burberry Fashion House Group launched its transactional store in UK; and in March 2007, Burberry Fashion House expanded its range of order fulfillment across the selected European countries. Later on, the fulfillment was again extended to the whole of the EU, in November 2007
