After a successful period of six years, Balmain’s creative director Christopher Decarnin has announced he is leaving the French fashion house.
The designer, who is known for giving the rock and military inspired look to the label, joined Balmain in 2005 and was made its creative director in November 2007.
Paying tribute to Christophe, Balmain CEO Alain Hivelin said: "Since 1945, the house of Pierre Balmain has been one of the leading French and international luxury brands. Christophe Decarnin's work with the house's design team contributed to the success that the brand has enjoyed in recent years."
Christopher was also not present at Balmain’s autumn/winter fashion show in Paris because of poor health conditions. His successor has not yet been named b
