Kaviar Gauche Fashion Designer Collection 2011 at Berlin Fashion Week






Berlin based fashion house Kaviar Gauche showed its Summer/Spring 2011 collection at Berlin Fashion Week in Germany on July 7, 2010.

Kaviar Gauche models, with pulled back hair, no-makeup look and wearing gladiators, walked down the runway to the metal band Rammstein. Dresses, made out of flowing light fabric in whites and pastels were paired with sheer white pants. Many of the dresses were cinched at the waist with bold black belts. Some of the other styles included one shoulder Grecian look, one sleeve and high riding slits.

Launched in 2003, The label's name was inspired by the so-called "gauche caviar", the French jet-setters who liked to coquette with the revolutionary ideas of the '68ers.

The fashion house, owned by duo Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl, is also famous for must-have bags. The brand launched their Bridal Couture Line in January 2009.

The celebrity clients who have worn Kaviar Gauche on the red carpet include Lady Gaga, UK's rising talent - the enchanting Florence Welch (Florence & The Machine), top model Nadja Auermann and German actress Heike Makatsch.

Following a successful debut of their spring/summer 2009 collection at London Fashion Week in September 2008, Kaviar Gauche kicked off a spectacular fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin for autumn/winter 2009.

In September 2006, Kaviar Gauche received the London "ON OFF Visionary Award". Its S/S 2007 collection was presented at the London Fashion Week. The Kaviar Gauche S/S 2008 collection won the "New Generation Fashion Award" at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.

Britain's newest super model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a new ambassador for the brand.

In June 2010 Kaviar Gauche will launch their first shoe collection for long-established German shoe manufacturer Goertz.

Kaviar Gauche is available worldwide - from Berlin to Zurich, London and Copenhagen to Oslo, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Dubai. The design house opened its first flagship store in May 2010 in Berlin.
