The Fashion giant Ralph Lauren has introduced a luxury denim line, ‘Ralph Lauren Collection Denim’ that aims to fuse classic denim with modern luxurious twist, giving it a more refined look.
The collection features a soup-to-nuts offering, from jeans to chic clothes that happen to be in denim. They include super-skinny jeans, jodhpur jeggings, a denim tuxedo and a tailored trench coat in dark black and indigo. Some of the pieces are hand-coated to give them a leather feel. Besides, there is a collection of fancy tops, blouses and shearling outerwear.
Designer Ralph Lauren while talking about his latest collection said, “This is really a new statement within our collection, I have been doing denim and wearing jeans all my life. When we opened our stores, I noticed that the girls were coming in wearing jeans, and I said, ‘How can I do a denim brand that will fit with the way the woman wears collection pants.”
“I thought there is no denim for this woman, they can buy one or two pieces from a designer brand, but really, there is not a brand that has the fit, the details, the stretch, the vision and the point of view. It’s a fabric that doesn’t die. It’s already part of a woman’s life. This gives it a stylishness and a diversity that makes it very interesting.” Lauren added.
The collection will hit stores in July and will carry a suggested retail price tag from about $300 to $2,000. The black label will say “Ralph Lauren” in a purple script.
