Danni Minogue Dreams Of Dressing Jennifer Aniston

Singer turned fashion designer Danni Minogue dreams of dressing Jennifer Aniston as she is a huge fan of her style.

The Australian beauty, who launched her clothing line ‘Project D’ earlier this year, has already seen a host of stars wearing her dresses, but it would be a dream come true if she sees the former ‘Friends’ star in one of her creations.

While talking about her line she said, “Our clothes are beautifully made, they are dresses you'll want to wear again and again and I think they are just beautiful.”

Karl Lagerfeld As The New Spokesman Of Volkswagen Cars

Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld has become the spokesman of Volkswagen cars.

Matthias Becker, Volkswagen’s marketing manager, says that Lagerfeld is a ‘perfect ambassador’.

In the tongue-in-cheek commercials Karl discovers the cars have alloy wheel rims and tinted "privacy" windows - because he says fashion people don't like bright light.

The flamboyant designer appears with his muse Baptiste Giabiconi - who recently branched out from modeling into pop music - in the 30 second video, with Baptist pointing out the stylish cars are German like Lagerfeld himself rather than French.

Geri Halliwell's Hot Swimwear Line

Bombshell Geri Halliwell is getting hot to promote her new bikini campaign.

Geri is affiliated with British retailer Next to design her own range of sexy swimwear line and has made her way to model herself in bikinis. Geri is recognized for exposing and ravishing costumes in her Ginger Spice days and has flair to be a glamour model. She said, "It's about inspiring confidence with great-looking swimwear for all body shapes. It's for real women of all shapes and sizes."

Hilary Swank To Launch Athletic-Leisure-Wear

Academy Award winner Hilary Swank has been working with Designers Management Agency to develop the concept for her athletic-inspired collection and is interviewing fashion designers to help her with the line.

Originally Hillary wanted to design only a t-shirt line but that idea changed into a plan to launch a full-fledged athletic-leisure wear.

This move to fashion doesn't mean Swank is hanging up her acting hat. With her film The Resident due to hit theaters in spring 2011, Swank has two movies in preproduction, ‘New Year's Eve’ and ‘Dreams of a Dying Heart’.

Garter Belt for Men

Time and again men who are accustomed to wear their jeans way below their navels find it is not the most comfortable arrangement. Too bad, thought inventor Andrew Lewis and came up with a sort of a garter belt intended to alleviate the life of the sufferers.

Although many of the guys who prefer their jeans sagging low on their hips use belts, Lewis said he “noticed saggers constantly hiking up their jeans when climbing the subway station stairs.” He thought they might be tired of doing that even if they mean to stick to their dubious fashion of pants wear.

The New York based inventor conducted a proper market research before he went on with designing a device to help the saggers with the difficult task of assuring their jeans waist stays where they want it to.

The “Subs”, as he dubbed his invention, is a cross between a garter belt and suspenders; the pants are fixed to the waist loop by the fasteners that are adjustable, allowing the wearer to set the pants waist at his preferable level. The Subs offer the guarantee that the jeans won’t fall down, and, according to Lewis, surprisingly they extend their appeal far beyond the circle of saggers. Have guys grown tired of wearing common belts?

Edmundo Castillo Light-up Shoes

While Tron: The Legacy is hailed as #1 box office blockbuster, designers keep on drawing ideas from the December winner movie. Here’s one of the latest – light-up sandals offered by footwear wizard Edmundo Castillo.

The Puerto-Rico-based designer – who is known for his collaboration with Italian brand Sergio Rossi – used the same electroluminescent material that the costumes in the picture were made from to create a pair of graceful LED-lighted women’s footwear.

Predictably called the “Light Sandals” they come on sale starting February 1 at the price of $1,650.

Other Tron-inspired ideas include a suite in a hotel in the town of Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The Ice Hotel now boasts a neon-glowing suite that looks devastatingly futuristic.
