You'll catch your death! Beaming Mollie King bares legs in tiny hotpants despite chilly summer weather as bandmates wrap up

By Jody Thompson

Smiling in the rain: The Saturdays star Mollie King was beaming despite wearing tiny hotpants in the wet and chilly summer weather as she left Manchester's Lowry Hotel today

It's been raining today in many parts of Britain, not least up north as the UK's wonderful summer continues - but The Saturdays star Mollie King seems to take the sunshine with her wherever she goes.

She and the girls were pictured leaving Manchester's Lowry Hotel today in biting wind and rain - but despite the inclement weather, Mollie brightened up the day with her sunny smile - and by baring her pins despite the chill.

The blonde beauty was wearing tiny black hotpants and smiling broadly as bandmates Una Healy and Vanessa White covered up in jeans and grimaced in the weather alongside her.

Summer in the city: Mollie (L) was still grinning as her bandmates Una Healy (C) and Vanessa White (R) grimaced in the weather despite wearing jeans

Stand by me: Rochelle Wiseman had also covered up in Manchester with a brilliant 'Kate Mouse' T-shirt with jeans and jacket, with Frankie Sandford in tight trousers and a blazer

Homeward bound: Una had a smile on her face once she was in the warm car ready for the journey home

Good natured Mollie appears to be cheerful whatever the situation too.

Constantly on the road right now, the girls had been filming with the BBC today in Manchester and were heading back down south tonight.

But Mollie wrote tonight: 'Singing musical songs on the bus home from Manchester!!! The best by FAR starlight express!!!!!!!!'

Just popping out: Una and the girls played a gig supporting Boyzone in South Queensferry, Scotland, last night, before filming for the BBC in Manchester today

On song: Rochelle (L) was wearing a spiked bra top for the show in the grounds of a stately home, while Vanessa was in shorts and a leather jacket

Rochelle also tweeted that she'd had fun in Manchester, writing: 'Thanks to everyone waiting outside in Manchester, nice to see you all xx'

The girls had been up in Scotland last night, supporting Boyzone at their open air gig at Hopetoun House stately home in South Queensferry.

They had donned their more usual skimpy outfits for the show, with Rochelle wearing a daring spike-studded bra top and Una almost falling out of her tight pink bustier.

Pout and about: Una and the girls have been on the road promoting their new single All Fired Up

Vanessa meanwhile was wearing turquoise cut-offs and an orange and pink tie-dye top - though she kept warm in a black leather jacket.

Meanwhile, the video for the girl group's forthcoming single All Fired Up will be premiered on their official website on Tuesday.

There's a 30-second teaser of the video, featuring behind the scenes footage, currently on the site.

The five bandmates look stunning in a variety of different outfits, striking sultry poses.

Fierce: The band premiere the new video for their single All Fired Up on Tuesday

Clap your hands: The single hits the shops on 4 September

In the clip, they can be seen in a studio dancing, splashing around in water and even being covered in large specks of glitter.

The single is released on 4 September.

Beforehand, the band have live appearances on August 13 at Towneley Live Festival, with dates on August 20 at V Festival in Weston Park, Stafford, and the day after at the other leg of the bash at Hylands Park, Chelmsford.

By Alanah Eriksen

My turn! Katie parades down the catwalk in a tight-fitting leopard number alongside her models

Newly-wed Zara breaks down in tears as she retires beloved horse who helped her to world championship crown

By Louise Eccles

She bit her bottom lip and fought back the tears as she attempted to maintain a certain amount of royal decorum.

But attempts at a stiff upper lip failed miserably when newlywed Zara Philips broke down and cried as she officially retired her beloved horse Toytown.

It was with Toytown, fondly known as ‘Noddy’ or ‘Ginger’, that she was crowned world eventing champion five years ago.

Sorrow: Zara's last parade with Toytown

Triumph: World champions in 2006

Yesterday, the Queen’s granddaughter paraded the horse for the last time, at the final day of this year’s Festival of British Eventing, at Gatcombe Park, in Stroud.

Miss Philips, who married England rugby player Mike Tindall just over a week ago, described Toytown as ‘the complete horse’.

Winning team: Zara Philips cried as she paraded Toytown at the Festival of British Eventing. The pair were crowned world eventing champions in 2006

Firm favourite: Zara has 15 horses including but she described Toytown as ‘the complete horse’

She said: ‘I think it will be quite difficult. It’s the end of an era.

‘He was the horse of a lifetime for me. We grew up together, we went through the levels together, and it all just seemed to go our way.’

‘His movement, his character, it all combined to make the complete horse. And cross-country, he was just a machine.’

She added: ‘I don’t think I am ever going to find another horse quite like him, but hopefully others that will be good enough to go to the same level as he did.’

End of an era: Zara said Toytown was ‘the horse of a lifetime’ but he is now retiring after suffering several injuries

The pair won individual and team gold at the 2005 European Championships, before conquering the world title a year later in Germany.

The horse’s final appearance for Great Britain came in the 2007 Europeans in Italy, where he finished sixth individually and helped secure another team gold.

But at the age of 18, and after suffering several injuries, the chestnut gelding has finally retired from the ring.

Miss Philips, who has kept her maiden name for professional purposes, married Tindall at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh a week last Saturday.

A wild reception followed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. One guest claimed it had ‘rained champagne’ and the newlyweds did not make it to bed until at least 2pm the next day.

The couple have put honeymoon plans on hold while they concentrate on their sporting careers - but they are clearly making the most of married life.

Yesterday they put on a very public display of affection at Gatcombe as they watched the show from the main arena. Miss Philips was photographed rubbing her husband’s shaved head and wrapping her arms around him, before kissing him on the lips and cheek.

Toytown was spotted as a seven-year-old by Zara’s father, Captain Mark Phillips. He was purchased a few years later for Zara and they quickly struck up a relationship.

Certainly not feeling blue! Cher Lloyd sports double denim at G.A.Y. as she celebrates landing No. 1 with debut solo single

By Jody Thompson

Sweet dreams: Cher Lloyd celebrated landing her first No. 1 single with debut Swagger Jagger last night at London's G.A.Y. nightclub

She's had her fair share of haters since she first appeared on last year's X Factor - but Cher Lloyd got the last laugh when she went straight to Number One tonight with her debut solo single.

The 18-year-old's Swagger Jagger knocked She Makes Me Wanna by fellow former X Factor contestants JLS from the top of the charts and into second place.

Cher celebrated earlier with a set at London's legendary club G.A.Y. last night, where she had worn skintight dark indigo blue jeans and a sleeveless royal blue blue denim shirt which she'd tied at her waist.

Teen star: Cher, who only turned 18 last week, celebrated early with a set at the club at Heaven

She was also sporting her now trademark glossy half-shaved hairstyle with her flowing locks to one side, and had accessorised her bright pink microphone with pink make-up and nails.

After the set, club bosses treated her to a huge birthday cake with a giant Number One and her name and photo on it.

The star was then clearly blown away this evening when dozens of fans queued outside the Radio 1 studios in London where she was a guest as Reggie Yates announced she'd gone to Number One on tonight's Official Chart Show.

Big moment: Cher emerges from Radio 1's London studios after being officially declared Number One to greet her fans

Overwhelmed: The youngster appeared to have tears of joy in her eyes as she chatted to Official Chart Show host Reggie Yates

Enjoying her moment: Cher spent time talking to fans and singing autographs

Despite the wind and rain, they all waited patiently for a chance to meet their idol.

Wearing a tan coloured skirt with white T-shirt and black tights and shoes. Cher seemed genuinely overwhelmed and appeared to have tears in her eyes as she chatted to Reggie.

The star said this evening: 'Having a number One was the best thing I could have asked for, I am so happy! I'm the happiest girl alive! Thank you for supporting me, and buying the single! This is the best thing that's ever happened to me!'

Prayers answered: Cher seemed thrilled to bits with her good news

Starting them young: Cher took time to greet some of her youngest fans too

She added: 'It's the one thing I've always wanted to achieve as an artist and now it's come true. It's the best feeling in the world! Thank you to everyone who bought the single and to all my fans who believed in me.'

Co-written and produced by The Runners, who have previously worked with Rihanna, Cher came up with Swagger Jagger earlier this year, on her first post-X Factor trip to Los Angeles - and the hook-laden track takes a cheeky sideswipe at a 'hater' who should 'just let it go'.

Cher, who only turned 18 last week, had previously said that if she achieved her dream of landing on top of the charts, she would celebrate with a glass of champagne as she was now allowed to drink.

Have a go: The X Factor contestant has not been afraid to confront her haters

Cool in cotton: The 18-year-old was rocking a double denim look of skintight black jeans and a blue sleeved shirt tied at the waist last night

Elsewhere, there was little other change at the top of the chart, with boyband The Wanted slipping to third with Glad You Came, singer Ed Sheeran's The A Team unchanged in fourth, and Louder by DJ Fresh dropping two places to No 5.

Amy Winehouse, who died last month aged 27, continued to dominate the albums chart.

Back To Black remained in top spot while her debut album Frank moved up to third.
Adele stayed at No 2 and No 4 with 21 and debut 19, with singer Beyoncé continuing the numerical titled albums in fifth place with 4.

Meanwhile, Cher's as-yet-untitled debut album, which will feature Busta Rhymes, Mike Posner and new British rapper Dot Rotten, comes out in November.

VICTORIA BECKHAM FOR VOGUE TURKEY

The incomparable Victoria Beckham will adorn the August issue of Vogue Turkey .

Her first ever close-up: Victoria Beckham tweets new picture of David holding Harper, as he reveals tattoo of daughter's name

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Daddy's angel: David Beckham poses with his daughter and shows the world his little girl's angelic face

Proud mum Victoria Beckham has tweeted a picture of David cuddling their newborn daughter.

Little Harper Seven gazes into the camera for her first ever close-up, of which many more are likely to follow.

The former Spice Girl wrote: 'I took this beautiful picture and wanted to share it with you, baby Harper cuddling Daddy! x VB'

Daddy's girl: The Harper tattoo was unveiled tonight it's full glory after LA Galaxy beat FC Dallas

Just last night, David displayed his latest inking after scoring for LA Galaxy, his daughter's name in fancy font.

The father-of-four, 36 , removed his shirt after playing a key role in the club's 3-1 win over FC Dallas, and seemed cockahoop to cement his performance with a goal.

So it seems that his young daughter's name is quite the lucky talisman.

Family friends: Gordon keeps an eye on the match while looking after the Beckham clan and his own daughters

His other charm came in the guise of friend Gordon Ramsay, who was cheering him on from the stands with his own children and the Beckham boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

David's first baby girl with wife Victoria was born earlier last month and David gave a teasing glimpse of the new inking on his neck just weeks later during a television interview.

Questioning the referee: David's personal supporters appear to be annoyed with the action on the pitch

The inking sits just above his tattoo of Jesus being carried by three cherubs, which are meant to symbolise sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight and Cruz, six.

Beckham said at the time: ‘It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot.’

Outplayed: Did little Harper spur her father on?

Man of the match: Beckham gave his all tonight

Celebrating: Gordon punches the air as Romeo and Brooklyn look delighted with their father's performance

David also posted a video on Facebook explaining why he had the tattoo and what it represented.

That tattoo was the handy work of one of LA’s biggest tattoo artists, Mark Mahoney, who has worked on a long list of famous names who include Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and it's likely that the Harper inking was courtesy of his hand too.
